The problem:
Columbus Landmarks is a nonprofit membership organization dedicated to preserving and celebrating Columbus’ architectural legacy. In an effort to generate revenue and support the organization they have formed a fundraiser named City Hop. City Hop, which is a citywide tour of urban living spaces, is the organization’s largest fundraiser. The foundation has seen recent decline in its event attendance. The goal of Columbus Landmarks is to increase event attendance and ultimately increase membership to the organization.
In order to meet there goals the organization will need to showcase who they are and exactly what it is that they do. The mission of Columbus Landmarks is “Promoting preservation of our community's historic and architectural resources, and fostering quality new design in our urban environment”.
Background:
To understand more about the organization let’s review its history. Columbus Landmarks was founded in 1977 by a dedicated group of historic preservationists and local residents who were committed to preserving Columbus' architectural heritage. Since that time, Landmarks has played an integral role in educating the community, encouraging responsible public and private sector enhancement of historic areas and structures, and promoting the highest standards in the design and construction of new buildings and spaces.
Since its inception, Columbus Landmarks has been committed to the preservation of Columbus' historic and architectural heritage. Landmarks have tracked many threatened historic buildings and properties in Columbus, and have provided a forum for numerous discussions about the future of our city's architectural legacy.
