studies consists in the conception and the realization of a tool for UMTS network performances evaluation. After a description of the UMTS network in terms of architecture and functionalities, a presentation of the principals indicatory of UMTS quality of service as well as the different parameters that permit the management of this QoS has been done. The originality of this work comes from the development of a methodology for evaluation the performances and optimization of the UMTS network.
