hrugs are all the rage, and with this loosely knit version (three stitches per inch) you’ll be able to “shrug” off the time investment! This shrug is worked from the neck down, and there’s no sewing required.
MEASUREMENTS
Approximately 11.5" (29 cm) from bottom rib to shoulder; 30" (76 cm) around Rowan Kid Classic, 70% lamb’s wool/26% kid mohair/4% nylon, 1.75 (50 g)/153 yds (140 m), 842 Peach US 10.5 (6.5 mm) straight needles or size you need to obtain correct gauge 12 stitches = 4" (10 cm) in stockinette stitch Stitch markers, tapestry needle To create a neat finish to the front edges, slip the first stitch of every row knitwise.

Cast on 53 stitches. Work K1, P1 rib for 3 rows.
Beginning the Raglan Shaping
Set-up Row (wrong side): Slip 1, K2, P6, place marker, P8, place marker, P19, place marker, P8, place marker, P6, K3. Row 1 (increase row): Slip 1, K2, *knit to marker, yo, slip marker, K1, yo; repeat from * three more times, knit to end. Note: Be sure to keep marker just to the right of the single knit stitch between the two yarnovers on every right-side row. Row 2: Slip 1, K2, purl to last 3 stitches, K3. Repeat Rows 1 and 2 eleven more times. You now have 32 stitches in sleeve sections.

Continue as established for 3 rows, but work sleeve stitches (stitches between the two sets of markers) in K1, P1 rib. Row 4 (remove markers as you come to them on this row): Slip 1, K2, purl to 1 stitch before marker, bind off in purl this stitch, 32 sleeve stitches, and 1 stitch after marker; purl back stitches to 1 stitch before marker, bind off in purl this stitch, 32 sleeve stitches, and 1 stitch after marker; purl to last 3 stitches, K3.
