Sex and the city
This book written in 1997 by Candace Bushnell is based on women's lifestyles.
This is true stories about New-Yorkers who live in Manhattan. A journalist unnamed interrogates her friends about their love life. They speak about a lot of subjects which are all around love, women and men even marriages and kids. We can say that “she's breaking down the bedroom doors” of their rich, famous and beautiful friends. She asks single or married people on their views and try to expose the true story of love and relationships. We learn that love in Manhattan is not easy and all the dates are complicated in fact.
I liked this book but I didn't love it. Because when I saw the tittle, I was thinking that it will be like in the series, but it wasn't the case. The journalist change too often subjects so it's a little difficult to follow the story. And when I began to be interested in a story, she changed.
This book is definitely not for men and as I said, I'll not recommend this book to all the girls who are in fond of the series “Sex and the city” because they'll probably be disappointed. But I can suggest it to all the girls who like American rich love stories (but not teenagers), and especially gossip. Because it's also about deception, claim and rich people who try to get married with a rich too or just have fun in private
