Présentation afrique du sud
Three years ago, I have visited South Africa (Durban) and discovered a different culture. At the beginning it was a difficult because South Africa is huge and has a heavy past but people are so wonderful that it is very interesting to let them teach you more about the country they love and they are proud.
In order to recollect good souvenirs and to evaluate the changes in 3 years I will write a little report about Kwazulu-Natal and more precisely about place I know such as Durban, Drakensberg, S Lucia, Hluhluwe…
South Africa is known as the “World in one country” because of its landscapes and natural diversity. Kwazulu-Natal is a land which really encompasses that diversity and beauty with the splendid Drakensberg Mountains, sublime subtropical beaches, top rated nature and game reserves, historic battlefields, green hills of the natal Midlands and the famous city of Durban where I was for 3 months. South Africa is although a multi-cultural nation reflected in eleven official languages.
The region lies between the Drakensberg Mountains and Swaziland to the west; the Indian Ocean to the east stretching from Port Edward in the south to the Mozambique border in the north.
Before speaking about attractions in Kwazulu-Natal we will speak a little bit about the climate, history then learn more about people there.
Climate
The climate in the coastal areas of KwaZulu-Natal is subtropical. In summer, temperatures often rise above 30 degrees. Because of the typically high humidity, conditions get sultry. Precipitation is to be expected mainly from October to April and particularly in the summer months of December, January and February, when one can count on strong tropical thunderstorms almost daily in the afternoons. KwaZulu-Natal is the province with the most rain in South Africa.
